Our dream is to create an intentional learning community of artists and other creatives on Kelley's Island/Ohio.
Singing Cedars
The design idiom is a reflection of both the TYRIAN founders and the architect's commitment to be in harmony with the environment. We envisioned Singing Cedars as the island based extension of the mainland TYRIAN network. It was originally designed by Bill Trout as a seasonal summer arts activity destination as well as year round residential studios. We still dream that in time Singing Cedars can become a place where personal growth & spiritual healing will flourish and where, " we can do together all the things we can't do alone." As a family and hand in hand with friends and supporters we are deeply committed to continue to hold space right here at "the heart of it all", in order to play our part in creating a healthier more beautiful world.
We have planned a Teaching Lodge where residents and visitors will have opportunities to pursue their personal creative interests with the assistance of visiting artists in residence and inter-spiritual coaches.
The plans also includes an open air Performance Space, a Prayer Grotta, and a Meditation Pavilion.
SINGING CEDARS has been designed by Trout and Creek Architects of Vermillion, Ohio. If you are interested in participating in planing this Eco-Village for Creatives and Contemplatives please contact: Dagmar B. Celeste

Himmelblau House
Himmelblau House was purchased 1983 by Dick & Dagmar Celeste with the generous help of Dora & Arthur Braun and Frank & Peg Celeste. Himmelblau was named by Ted Celeste and was originally envisioned as a getaway for Ohio's then first family and as homestead in Ohio for geneartins to come. We are located at Shannon Lane on the NE shores of Kelly's Island and are surrounded by 10 acres of cedar groves believed to be the hunting and haunting ground of the island's White Cedar Lady.
